BIG STONE GAP, VA- BILLY WAYNE WOMBLE age 56, passed into eternal rest on Thursday, January 2, 2024 at Johnson City Medical Center with his family by his side. Billy was born in Pulaski Virginia- before he moved to Appalachia when he was in his youth. He met and married the love of his life whom he's been married to for over 30 plus years. He was a avid N.F.L. fan he really enjoyed watching his favorite team play on Sunday, the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed watching Wrestling. He was a animal lover, he truly loved all animals but his favorite was his dog Sasha. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents James Womble, & Ethel Marsh Womble, he was preceded in death by a sister Deanna Vester, brother in law Fred Douglas Falin Jr., and sister in law Donna Blanton, & father in law Fred Falin Sr. Left to cherish his memory; wife Rhonda Womble of the home, sons; Shawn Falin, & Billy Wayne Womble II and wife Becky , daughter Crystal Womble, mother in law Evelyn Falin, eleven - grandchildren, Connor, Logan, Candace, Ed, Lacey, Ezra, Jameson,Lydia, Raelynn, Brayleigh, & Harper, honorary grandchild Bella, his siblings; Tami Womble, Robert Womble and wife Denise, Kathy Watson, & Michael Womble, nephews; Dustin and Robbie Womble, nieces; Hayley and Megan Hubbard, special niece Stephanie Jenkins and husband Dave, other close relatives, siblings, nieces and nephews. The family of Billy Wayne Womble will receive friends on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Holding Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, VA , from 3-5 p.m. for the visitation. The funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. with pastor Grayson Cothron officiating. Special music will be provided by Holding Funeral Home The family would like to express their gratitude to the Johnson City Medical Center ICU 2900 floor staff for their care. The graveside committal service will be held as a private family service.
