Born and raised in Rhode Island, Edmund served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps, where he was stationed in Hawaii. Edmund was a man of integrity and diligence, never missing a day of work. He was highly respected by his colleagues who admired his commitment and dedication. His work ethic was a testament to his strength of character, which was evident not only in his professional life but also in his personal life. Known for his love of sports, Edmund was a die-hard Red Sox fan. His passion for baseball was infectious, and he often enjoyed family trips to watch the games. He also had a fondness for football and car racing, interests that brought him much joy and excitement. Despite his love for sports, Edmund's greatest joy was his family, who he cherished deeply. Left to honor Edmund and remember his love are his wife of 51 years, Venita Rapoza, three children, Lori Morris and husband Scott, Tammie Gibson and husband Jeff, Robert Boyd and wife Michelle. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, and he was also blessed to meet his two great-great-grandchildren. Edmund is also survived by his brothers, Claude Rapoza and wife Cheri, Pat Rapoza and wife Kelly, Glen Rapoza, Robert Rapoza, and his sisters, Norma Stephens, Pamela Snider, Nicole Speed. His special sister-in-law Ginny Parker, along with other close relatives and friends, will miss him greatly. Edmund's life was characterized by his unwavering courage and spirited nature. These qualities were not only evident in his service to his country but also in his fight against cancer. His bravery and determination were an inspiration to all who knew him. While we mourn the loss of this extraordinary man, we also celebrate his life and the love he shared with all of us. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones.
