Jordan Edward Jones

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” Jordan Edward Jones, age 25, passed away peacefully at home and went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 11, 2026. “Jordan never knew anything except love. He gave it wholeheartedly and without hesitation. He thrived on being surrounded by the ones he loved and consumed any and all attention he could have. He loved all kinds of music and television, toys—especially those that made noise—and, of course, anything sweet. Jordan ultimately came into this world like a lion yet left as quiet as a lamb. A surprise to his family, Jordan arrived on his own terms by entering this world 13 weeks early. He was much loved while he shared his life with family and friends, and when it was time to go, he left without a sound into the arms of Jesus.” He was preceded in death by his Papaws, Buck Jones and Chester Lamb; his grandmother, Mildred Ann Roig; and his aunts, Joyce Lamb, Michelle Roig, Jennifer White, and Ramona Jones. Jordan is survived by his parents, Janet Jones and Mark Jones (Rachel); his siblings, Samuel Jones, Sarah Jones (Scott), Hope Malone, BreAnna Caudill (Christian), Kristen McCoy (Adrian), and Danielle Lamb; his grandmother, Mrs. Chester Lamb; his uncles, Harold (Pamela) Lamb and Mike Jones; his aunt, Karen (Tommy) Dickson; and many other close relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jordan’s dear friends Angela Davidson; Lee Stidham and Melissa; and Jordan’s church family at Haven of Praise Ministries. Jordan will be deeply missed by his family, his caregivers, and all who got to know him. The family will receive friends at Haven of Praise Ministries on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a service to follow in the church's chapel. Lee Stidham will be officiating, with special music provided by the praise team of the church. (142 Cold Springs Drive Appalachia, VA 24216) The committal will take place on Thursday, September 17, 2026. The family asks friends to meet at Holding Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. to go into procession to Glencoe Cemetery, Jordan will be taken by the “Riebe and Sons” horse-drawn carriage to his final resting place. Pallbearers will be: Mark Jones, David Lamb, Samuel Jones, Mike Riebe, Michael Jones, and Chad Dickenson. Holding Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
