Margaret Ann Wagner Margaret Ann Gilbert Lawson Wagner, born November 18, 1934, to the late Chester Gilbert and Beatrice Ellen Isom Gilbert Combs entered her Heavenly home on Thursday, April 23, 2026. She was a woman of many talents and simple joys. She found peace and happiness in her garden where she nurtured plants with the same care she gave her family. Her hands were rarely still – whether she was sewing something special, creating beautiful crafts, or adding a personal touch to everything she made, her creativity was a true gift. She will be especially remembered for the magic she brought to the Christmas season. Year after year, her home became a place of wonder, filled with countless decorations and glowing lights that she carefully arranged with love and pride. For many, her displays became a cherished tradition and a symbol of joy as the community would drive by to enjoy the display. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wagner; one son, Ralph “June” Lawson; one daughter, Myrtle Lambert; three brothers, Chester Gilbert, Sam Gilbert and Bill Gilbert; one sister, Fay Carr and twin grandsons Jonathan Boyce and Richard Wayne Lawson. Ann leaves behind a family who will miss her deeply. She is survived by three sons, Danny (Faye) Lawson, Jackie (Mychelle) Lawson, and Mike (Nioma) Lawson; Eight grandsons, David Lawson, Michael Carico, Tim Carico, John (Brittney) Carico, Travis (Cass) Lawson, Andrew (Britany) Lawson, Joseph (Beth) Lawson, Braydon Bishop; one granddaughter, Erica (Jason) Mullins. She is also survived by nine great-grandsons, seven great-granddaughters, two brothers Mickey Gilbert and Tommy (Sherry) Gilbert; one sister Dana (Jimmie) Hubbard and a host of nieces and nephews. Per Ann’s wishes, a graveside service will be held at 11:30 am at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Holdings Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. to travel in procession to the cemetery.
