Beverley Herron Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Big Stone Gap, Va. Beverley Herron, 69, passed away at home on Friday (September 2, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born in Detroit, Mich., and had lived in Big Stone Gap since the early 1970’s. Beverley will be remembered for her gracious caregiving to her family and friends. She was a member of Brian’s Chapel Church in Appalachia, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Julius Marshall Herron; her parents, James Harry Miller and Lillian Ida (Hoffman) Miller; a sister, Eleanor Miller; and three brothers, Graydon Miller, Roger Miller and an infant brother. Surviving are her children, Debbie Bouton-Fugate and husband, Johnny, and Patty Herron, all of Appalachia, Va., Linda Homire and husband, Dave of Cleveland, Ga., Julie Glogowski and husband, Adam of Street, Md., and Tonya Herron of Weber City, Va.; grandchildren, Tracy and John Miller, Jennifer and Keith Garrett, Brittany and Shawn Hallman, Jessica and Kevin Holmes, Aaron and Beth Bouton, Megan Hughes, Tyler Hughes, Tori Hicks, Sarah Hughes, Shawni Wise and Shaun and Devin Glogowski; 14 great grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Miller of Wyandotte, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and her special friend in Christ, Pansy Aistrop. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 6) at Holding Funeral Home (17 E. 3rd St., N.) in Big Stone Gap, Va. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Benny Boles, Pastor Ralph McFarland and Pastor Tony Nunley officiating. Committal graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at American Legion Cemetery. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to go in procseeion to the cemetery.
