ST. PAUL, VIRGINIA- Bobby Jack Sutherland 62, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2014 at the Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, TN. He was born in Russell County Virginia; son of the late Robert and Beulah Sutherland. He was a disabled coal miner. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, reading, and spending time with his family. He was also preceded in death by his lifelong companion Debra Ann Salyers. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Johnson (Fiance) Michael Gilbert of Castlewood, Virginia, his two grandchildren, Kelsey Johnson (Skitz), and Hunter Johnson (Hunter Boy), one brother; Henry Sutherland and wife Darlene of St. Paul, five sisters; Judy McCoy and husband Ivory of St. Paul, Kathy Marshall husband Jackie of St. Paul, Teresa Brooks husband Bill of Castlewood VA, Melissa Johnson husband Ted of Graham NC, Karen Steffey husband Brian of Clintwood VA, several nieces and nephews and a host of other close relatives and friends. Funeral services for Bobby Jack Sutherland will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Holding Funeral Home of Castlewood (1882 U.S. Hwy 58, Castlewood Virginia) with the Pastor Ted Phillips officiating. The committal service will be held on Sunday (March 23, 2014) in Temple Hill Memorial Gardens . Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be; Hunter Johnson, Brian Steffey, Benjamin Steffey, Ronnie Smith, Michael Rose, Vernie McCoy, Cephus Duty.
