Brenda Sue Mullins- Big Stone Gap, VA Brenda Sue Mullins - 71, of Big Stone passed away at her home on Friday, June 3, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Brenda was born in Roda, VA., she was one of five children. She attended Appalachia High School. She worked at the Country Boy Inn in Big Stone Gap, for over 25 years. One of her greatest passions was sitting on her front porch and enjoying the view. She was a dedicated member of the Appalachia Pentecostal Church. She loved her church family and was a dedicated member. She will be deeply missed by her entire family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wilma Jean Pitts, her brothers; Robert Pitts, and Jackie Pitts. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald Ray Mullins of the home, her children, Michelle Mullins (Virginia Rose) of Wise, VA., Johny Ray Mullins (Sylvia) of Norton, VA., Cindy Carter (James) of Big Stone Gap, grandchildren- Alexis Jessee, (Austin) of Big Stone Gap, VA., Blake Clark of Big Stone, Ryder Mullins and Parker Mullins both of Norton, VA., great grandchildren, Asher Jessee & Archer Jessee both of Big Stone, her sisters, Mary White (Tony) of Appalachia, & Jean Pittsof Appalachia, brother Jimmy Pitts (Debbie) of Appalachia other close relatives and friends. The family wishes to convey their appreciation to the Staff of M.S.A. Home health and Hospice. The care they provided for Brenda was excellent. They would like to especially recognize, Donna, Selena, Teresa, and Danya, for their help and compassion. The family of Brenda Mullins will receive friends on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Appalachia Pentecostal Church, from 1:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. for the visitation. The funeral service will be conducted following with Pastor Grayson Cothron, and Jim Herron Jr. officiating. The graveside committal service will be held in Riverview Cemetery.
