Big Stone Gap, VA "So we wrote your name in our hearts, and that’s where it shall stay. Always." Douglas McArthur Hall, Sr. went to be with God on Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 after a battle with COVID. He was someone who cherished family above all else, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. We know, however, that his mother, Sylvia Carter; father, Larry “red” Carter; and brother, James “Jr” Hall will be waiting for him with an open embrace, and in this we will find our solace. He is survived by his wife of almost 30 beautiful years, Rebecca Louise Hall; son, Douglas Hall & wife Jodi Hall; his daughter, Emily Hall; and his two granddaughters, Isabelle and Delilah Hall. Along with many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces that he cherished. The family will recieve friends on Friday, November 5th, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at Holding Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted following in the funeral homes chapel.
