Big Stone Gap, VA Golf Edward "Ed" Gunn, 51, passed away on Friday (February 14, 2014) at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was born in Cleveland, OH, raised in Romulus, MI and had lived in Big Stone Gap for the past seven years. He was a truck driver for the Riggs Oil Co. in Big Stone Gap. He was a member of the Cedar Ridge Freewill Baptist Church. He loved his family and friends, loved the mountains and all of God's beauty. He was preceded by his parents, William Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Skeen) Gunn, Jr.. Surviving are one brother, Ray Gunn of Michigan; sisters, Peggy Ward and husband, Ken, Ann Manning and husband, Kevin, and Glenda Turner, all of Michigan; two nieces, one great niece , several cousins, including very dear cousins, Lisa and Norman Trent, Ronnie Trent and Wendy Steinberg, and Dwayne and Kim McKee, all of Big Stone Gap; special aunt, Linda Skeen Hamilton; and special uncle, Donnie Skeen. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Holding Funeral Home (17 E. 3rd St., N.) in Big Stone Gap. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the Holding Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Meade officiating. Burial will follow in the Skeen Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Norman Trent, Ronnie Trent, Donnie Skeen, Dwayne McKee, Mark Holyfield and Arnie Riggs. Honorary pallbearers will be: Arnie Riggs and Ronnie Clontz.
