Mr John Clinton Ray Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

East Stone Gap VA, Johnny C. Ray 56, passed from this life on (Dec. 26, 2014). Johnny graduated from Powell Valley High School class of 1976. He was a long distant truck driver who traveled often to the West Coast. In his off time, he enjoyed riding with his friends and working on his Harley. Johnny never met a stranger. He was a good friend to many people and enjoyed helping others. Johnny had a special love for his two dogs; Benji and Whiskers. He was preceded in death by his father Uless Ray who passed away in May of 2013. He is survived by his mother Ann C. Ray of East Stone Gap, his special aunt Jewel Carter, several cousins and other extended family members. The family will receive friends for the visitation on (Tuesday Dec. 30) from 5 until 7 at Holding Funeral Home of Big Stone Gap. The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday (Dec 31) at 11:00 in the Funeral Home chapel with the Rev.Lonnie Brooks and Pastor. Ric Wright officiating. Internment will follow in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
