CASTLEWOOD VIRGINIA, John Bond Sullivan, born April 22, 1948 passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Russell County Medical Center. He was of the Christian faith, and was retired from the Ford Motor Company. He volunteered with the Camp 133 Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed his time working with the little league as a coach and umpire. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle & Beulah Sullivan, and a half-sister, Doris Metros. He is survived by; his wife, Peggy Yates Sullivan of Castlewood, VA , his son, Dennis John Sullivan of Portage, Indiana, his two daughters; Brigette Sullivan of Chicago, Illinois, and Shannon Amburgey and husband Brad, and one granddaughter, Gretchen Amburgey, of La Porte, Indiana. Also several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation for John Sullivan will be held from 5-7pm on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Holding Funeral Home in Castlewood, Virginia. The funeral service will be conducted following the visitation at 7pm in the funeral home's chapel, with the Reverend Gary Crum officiating . The graveside committal service, will be conducted; on Wednesday, April 2 at 2pm in Temple Hill Cemetery, Castlewood Virginia;those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 to go in procession to the cemetery.
