Mr. Kermit Clark

July 7, 1930 - November 24, 2015

Madisonville, Tennessee Kermit Q. Clark, 85, passed away at his son’s vacation home in Howard Creek, Florida on Tuesday Nov 24, 2015. Kermit was born on July 7, 1930 in Wise County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Poley and Emeilia Clark. He worked in the coal mines with Westmoreland Coal Company for 32 years. Kermit lived a very active life.  Every time he met someone he always had a joke, a story, or a magic trick. He truly enjoyed making people laugh and smile. He lit up the room. He was a lifelong attendee of the Baptist and Church of God faith denominations. He loved his family and will be truly missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Cecil Clark, Curtis Clark, Beatrice Clark, Byno “BE” Clark, Geraldine Clark and Sylvia Clark. He is survived by his wife; Robena June Clark of 60 years, his two children; Dall Clark and wife Melissa of Lexington KY, John David Clark of Perry, Georgia, grandchildren; Jenna (Clark) Rice and John Drew Clark, and one great grand child Journee Rice, one brother Ross Clark, and many loving nieces and nephews other close relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday (Nov 28) from 3 until 5 p.m. at Holding Funeral Home of Big Stone Gap Virginia. The funeral Service will be conducted following the visitation in the funeral home’s chapel. The committal service will be held on Sunday @ 1 p.m. those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 12:30 to go in procession to the cemetery.
