BIG STONE GAP, Va. - Michael Tyree Henderson, 51, of Big Stone Gap passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Holston Valley Medical Center. He was an excellent handyman, a loving brother and son, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie and Mayola McCrary; one aunt, Dorothy Henderson; one uncle, Lavaska Henderson. He is survived by his mother, Lavonnia Henderson of Appalachia; three sisters, Latiticia Henderson of Hampton, Va.; Karen Henderson Bishop and husband Coy Bishop of Martinsville, Va.; Ruth Henderson of El Paso, Tx.; two nieces, Chantarae Shepard and Lakishia Henderson; a host of other close relatives and friends. Services were private. Holding Funeral Home is serving the Henderson Family.
