Mildred Mullins Stidham Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Big Stone Gap, VA Mildred Mullins Stidham, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday (June 12, 2016) at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. She retired after 14 years as manager of the former Trail Motel in Big Stone Gap. She was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Stidham. She is survived by one son, Dale Stidham, wife Crystal and grandson, Justin of Big Stone Gap; daughter, Mona Hall, husband Carl, and grandson Shaun and his wife Brandy, and great granddaughter Jael, grandson, Bradley and wife Nala, all of Greer, SC; one sister, Emojean Bailey of Wise, VA; and three nephews and two nieces. She was truly loved by many. Thank you to Lois and Ronnie Riner, Dr. Ford, and all of our friends and family for your support during this difficult time. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 on Tuesday (June 14, 2016) at Holding Funeral Home (17 E. 3rd St., E.) in Big Stone Gap. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 am on Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at the Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA.
