Michelle Lynn (Rollins) Barnett- Norton, Virginia Revelation 21:4 “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Michelle Lynn (Rollins) Barnett- age 43, of Norton, Virginia, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Michelle was born in Oxford, OH, the daughter of Teresa Marcum and Herbert Rollins. She was one of four children. At about ten years old, she and the family moved back to Big Stone Gap, where she spent most of her life. She attended and graduated from Powell Valley High School, class of 1998. After High school, she started her family whom she adored. She was the mother of three beautiful children. Michelle attended and was a member of Faith Rock Church in Big Stone Gap. She was a movie enthusiast. Her favorite genre was Korean Drama. She was the family photographer, Michelle is fondly remembered for always taking photos of family get togethers and events. Having a gentle sprit, Michelle was always willing to help anyone in need. Words cannot describe the heartache felt by her family and friends. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and her father Herbert Rollins and son, Joshua P. Azbill. She is survived by her husband, Chris Barnett of the home, daughters; Amanda Collins, and Etta Pearson, both of the home, step son Christopher Barnett and wife Elisha of Wise, VA., Her mother, Teresa Marcum of Big Stone Gap, VA., siblings, Teresa Burton of Big Stone, Lisa Fleenor and husband Earl of Big Stone Gap, Herbert Rollins Jr. and wife Sarah Rollins of Hamilton, OH., Erin Lloyd & Davey Rollins, both of Indiana, two uncles, Rick Marcum and wife Nancy of Big Stone Gap, Michael Dorton of Appalachia, VA., two nieces, Sarah and Emily, two nephews, Issac, & Ralph, several other close relatives and friends. The family of Michelle Lynn (Rollins) Barnett will receive friends on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the Union High School Auditorium from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. for the visitation. This service will be a double visitation for her son Joshua as well. The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Herron officiating. Special music will be provided by the Faith Rock Church members. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00am on Saturday, September 3, 2022, in American Legion Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
